After a prolonged dispute between R* and PCEO's founder oo7im, it has
emerged that R* will step down from their initial position and has agreed to pay a
large compensation sum to the tune of $687,655 for the founder's lost Sentinel.
The founder admitted he was responsible for the mistake which led to his
$650,000+ sentinel being replaced by a stolen camper van, however he claimed
the mechanism through which he 'permanently' lost the vehicle was a 'flaw in the
game, as opposed to a welcome feature'.
oo7im is said to be very happy with the ruling, and had this to say:
"I was going to sell the Sentinel anyway to make money for the new DLC. The
R* elevated the case to 'support tier 2' in order to approve the payment, and
insisted that this was 'one time accommodation'.
PCEO's founder oo7im, found himself walking home last night after a recent camper van acquisition resulted in a mix up at R* HQ.
PCEO News followed up the case, and Rockstar support had this to say:
Hello , Thank you for writing back to us. We understand your issue regarding replaced vehicle "Ubermacht Sentinel Classic", however, we are unable to compensate for your loss as you have replaced it with another vehicle "BF Surfer". We apologize for this inconvenience in advance. Best Regards. Rockstar Support
A hefty dispute followed, with R* later clarifying further:
To avoid this, we would recommend you only attempt to place a vehicle in a Garage that has an open slot. If you must replace a vehicle, carefully select which one you wish to replace, as it will not be moved to another Garage and will be permanently lost.
Inside sources revealed that oo7im was not satisfied with this resolution, and that further negotiations are proving difficult at this time.
The PCEO news team was in the right place at the right time last week; catching a group of smugglers as they delivered $300,000 worth of illegal animal parts to a drop off.
Reporters oo7im and Audisportquattro arrived on the scene just as the last delivery was made. The smugglers made the drop using a fleet of sophisticated off road vehicles, which was a big giveaway to the News team on duty.
The illicit cargo was later seized by police.
