Archie 7373 has now been confirmed as the latest member of the PGAM Executive Council following a member vote in the #parliament_chamber. Members had 5 candidates to select from; with Archie achieving a vote share of 41% (beating his closest rival AverageTrey on 28%). When Appealing to the #PGAM_Parliament for his nomination, Archie had this to say: I'll be honest... I never play games online... like ever.. but my son begged me to play GTA online so that he would be "Allowed to" and now I'm hooked on GTAO. You will likely all know me as a Lobby host (and that will continue) but to give you some idea of my commitment to PGAM I have: As the polls closed, it was up the sitting Executives Nolingo305 and Mr Belic to confirm the nomination: The final results of the vote can be found below: A full list of the other candidates and their election campaigns can be found here: https://www.peacefulgamers.com/news_feed/pgam-executive-campaigns

With Hustler, Ken and Lagdog enjoying their well deserved retirement, sitting PGAM executives Mr Belic and Nolingo have been working extra hard to maintain smooth operations over the last few months. With a steady influx of new members to process, defender applicants to asses, and Justice reps to appoint, the time has finally come to search for a new executive to help share the workload.
All PGAM members are welcome to apply for the executive position. Election campaigns will go to the #pgam_parliament for a vote on Thursday 7th November , and the selected nominee will be presented to the sitting executives for confirmation. Feel free to submit your campaign below, or alternatively via the PGAM Democracy page. New businesses are popping up at a staggering rate around Los Santos, with investor confidence seemingly reaching an all time high. Logistics enterprises, weapons manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals have seen the largest gains, with economists suggesting record low interest rates are responsible for the unprecedented economic boom. Phoenix LLC is just one example of this recent trend, with reported sales of more than five million dollars this last week alone. We asked their CEO and majority shareholder KemiKalEngineer to explain the recent uptick in business: "How confident did you feel setting up Phoenix LLC and making a full 111 crate cargo sale in the lobby?" Actually I sourced it in a Nat test lobby, I didn't want to keep a CEO slot for myself for a long time. Then sold it in PGAM lobby. I got a nice 17% bonus. "Any idea how much you got in total?" 5,194,800 GTA$. I was a little greedy to get as much bonus as I can. The sourcing took around 10 hours "So you must've been confident that the lobby was safe for the sale?" Of course, lagdog was there so its super safe. Also it's safe most of the time. Like KemiKal, most investors remain positive, however there have been warning calls from regulators in the Justice Rep team that demand for business licensing is starting to outpace supply. Rules state that only 10 businesses can operate in a lobby at any given time, and once this limit is reached, it places a moral burden on each enterprise to contribute towards their share of member employment opportunities. As investors continue to roll in, there has been a marked increase in the number of 'solo CEOs'. These 'one man band' operations have been allowed to continue to this point, however there are growing fears that an employment crisis could emerge if it continues much longer. It's been shown that in the worst case scenario, a full lobby with 10 solo CEOs would produce an unemployment rate of 62.5%. Though unlikely, such an eventuality can lead to political instability or the introduction of draconian, anti-business regulations. As the economy continues to grow, the PGAM Justice team is launching an awareness campaign to remind CEOs of their obligations to hire additional members when possible, or to regularly disband and allow for a greater business turnover.
Executive nominee nolingo305 has been appointed to the executive council following a confirmatory vote by the PGAM parliament. He was one of two nominations put forward by the executive team, however parliament's approval vote for the second nominee BromanticRR has been postponed due to technical issues with the voting polls. "Hello PGAM members, here’s my pitch for the executive council position. I’m a tech lead at a Fortune 500 company, and so I think my skills in coordination/management can translate well into admin work to keep things running smoothly for our group. I’m an easy going person so I work well in a team dynamic, and love to help and answer questions as I am a problem solver by nature and trade. This a great crew of people we have and I am looking to contribute more than I currently do. I hope you’ll vote for me so that I’ll be able to have an impact both in and outside of the game. Thanks for your consideration" As nolingo joins the team, PGAM founding executive Hustler102 has announced he is stepping down from the council for personal reasons. His dedication & work in setting up PGAM can't be overstated and his patriotic influence will be sorely missed in the corridors of power. Finally, long time inactive member silett0st0ner has been removed from the council following a recent vote to demote inactive team members that are absent for 1 month or longer. Silett0st0ner was a founding member of the original PCEO council, but has been inactive for the entire duration of PGAM's existence.
PCEO News was forced to unexpectedly close it's Los Santos Office in July, after it emerged the founder of the organisation had been accepting illegal donations from foreign governments, shady multinationals and illicit cartels. The media standards watchdog also launched an investigation into the organisation's apparent mishandling of recent election campaigns, claiming that PCEO News was engaged in politically biased reporting. As a result of negative PR surrounding the allegations, the fledgling media organisation has undergone an expensive restructuring process, and has recently re-launched with a new brand: PGAM News: It's believed the cost of the re-brand was in the region of $250,000, which already has Maze Bank investors concerned about the viability of the organisation given it's lack of transparency when it comes to funding. PGAM News CEO and Founder oo7im had this to say: The transition from PCEO News to PGAM News was an entirely market driven decision. It had nothing to do with the false allegations of political interference, supporting a coup or infiltrating & abetting terrorist organisations. Check your Eyefind Junkmail to find an official newsletter explaining the change. Three new Justice Reps have been appointed by the PGAM parliament following nominations from the PGAM executive team. xskittlzzzzx, SPADEdaLEGEND and mr belic have all joined the Justice Rep team following confirmatory votes, and will work alongside AyGreg Egg, DarkPoet, Wheelz, dash6666 and BromanticRR. The team is responsible for providing a friendly guidance to new members, as well as gathering evidence of rule infractions and making recommendations to the executive team. The representative campaigns and parliament results can be found below: mr belic"I've been a dedicated member since nearly the start of pceo. I have huge respect for those that give their time to what goes on here. The majority of my time within the crew has been spent as mostly a silent player who plays along with the rules and just likes help others out. Since 2.0 began I believe I have tried to be a more productive member on discord and not just in the game. I feel like I have been here long enough now to step up and be an official member of the team. Justice rep feels like the place where I would be most helpful, since I am unable to host with my set up and I can't defend for shit. Thank you for everything you guys do and for taking the time to read my application. It would be awesome to be part of the team although rest assured I am just as happy setting a good example as a regular crew member " xskittlzzzzx"When my first application failed, there were only a few votes, I decided that it wasnt me or my state of affairs at the time (lol), it was that there were others who could fill those shoes better. Now, I know that wasn't entirely true. I know that no one can fill these shoes as I have done, repeatedly, on the job. There isnt any title, power, or glory that can re-affirm this to me other than continuing to carry the Peace to our members. So, here we are, performing that task same as always, and I remain unchanged and loyal to the purpose. I couldn't place higher values on my relations with Tim, Lagdog, Hustler, and to members of our community. I want to do this and it would be an honour to officially serve as a Justice Rep to our crew. In closing, I want to thank each one of you for doing your part." SPADEdaLEGEND"I'll be honest with you guys I've been here maybe about a month and I feel right at home. Seeing that their was an opportunity to be someone to help keep the peace I thought why not. If you guys choose to let me be part of that I appreciate it. If you all decide otherwise I understand.
Your pal Spade" After a well fought campaign, Hustler and Lagdog have now been confirmed as the first two elected 2.0 Executives. With 64 votes cast, Lagdog was the clear first choice taking 45% of the vote. Hustler came in second with 25% of the allocated votes. The Final Vote after Polling closed Here are all the executive campaigns as seen bey the #pceo_parliament prior to voting: @AnAwesomologistAnAwesomologist has been involved with our community as a PCEO member for about 9 months. They have not held any positions on the team yet. Here's why you should vote for them: "I know I may goof around sometimes, but I really care about this crew's well-being; I want to keep the spirit of this crew at a relaxed, fun level...while still helping people get this :bread: I know the in's & out's of PCEO, as I've been a part of this team for the better part of a year. As a result, I have a pretty good idea how things should operate. I like to believe people have a pretty positive image of me. I will always represent the minority members, and I can always be reached directly with any questions. I will always respond in a timely manner. I look forward to serving you guys." @AyGreg EggAyGreg Egg has been involved with our community for about 16 months now. In addition to being a crew member, they have also served as a defender on PCEO 1.0 and are currently a Justice Rep here on PCEO 2.0. Here's why you should vote for them: " I’ve been with the crew for awhile and I have a good idea of what needs to happen to make it work without anything unnecessary. I feel like my 8 months as a defender has at least given me some experience in regards to what needs to be done in this position. I have also been a Justice Rep here in 2.0 since it was created and have helped with a few of the cases that justice reps have had to deal with so far, giving me a good judge of character to help make the right decision when it needs to be done." @BootymageBootymage has been involved with our community for 13 months. They've been a lobby host back in PCEO 1.0 and are serving the same position here as well. Here's why you should vote for them: "I've always been one to try to help PCEO when the time should call. Title or not, I will continue to assist the crew where it sees fit for me to assist it. Also, I have the Orbital Friendship Cannon. We all love cannons." @hustler102Hustler has been involved with our community for about a year. At the moment they are one of the lobby hosts of PCEO 2.0. Here's why you should vote for them: "I'm always looking to help folk and I've got the time, a vote for hustler is a vote for you." @Lagdog Lagdog has been involved with the community since the early days of PCEO 1.0. (Which will soon celebrate it's 3rd birthday!). They held a lot of different positions back in PCEO 1.0 - starting from rep and ending up as an admin. Most of our older members know them as a defender, which is their current role in PCEO 2.0 as well.
Here's why you should vote for them: " - Joined PCEO from almost it’s infancy - Promoted to the original pceo defense team before the Defenders were in place - Started/managed and ran the ‘new’ defense team, the Defenders until my departure from 1.0 - I’ve previously been a comm rep, defender, commissioner and council member all on good terms - I think I have the experience needed to make a noticeable and positive change for PCEO 2.0 as well as bring some humor and a laid back atmosphere. " The first round of PCEO 2.0 Executive Councillor applications will be open until midnight on June 7th. (GMT) After June 7th, the #PCEO_parliament will begin a voting process - eventually proposing it's first nomination for the Executive Council to confirm. It's believed there will eventually be up to 5 sitting 2.0 councillors, although legislation for this will still require confirmation from the #pceo_parliament. The Executive Council is responsible for the following:
A majority of the #pceo_parliament (54%) recently voted that all members should be eligible to apply regardless of their previous role experience. This decision was somewhat contested, with 35% of voters suggesting Justice_rep experience should be necessary. This decision was not favoured by Ken (the only sitting executive), who abstained from voting in the executive chamber; allowing the ruling to pass by default without his overt consent.
Justice Reps are of course eligible to apply for the Executive role, but due to the separation of powers they will be required to step down from their rep position if their campaign & nomination is successful. The #PCEO_parliament on the 2.0 server is currently voting on the previous role requirements for new Executive Councillor applicants. Voting is still ongoing, so feel free to join and cast your vote.
As it stands, the PCEO member's parliament is currently 64% in favour of lifting role requirements for new executives, which would allow all PCEO 2.0 members to stand for the position. The executive position is crucial for enacting bans and removing members as directed by the Justice_rep team on the crew social club divisions & discord server. The current PCEO_parliament is 83% in favour of the current executive team of Ken & Silletto, however the Justice_team is less convinced. The majority of justice_reps have abstained from casting a vote on executive confidence, with one anonymous vote against. Although no date has yet been confirmed, it's believed the first selection round of new Executive Applicants will be announced very soon. PCEO 2.0 is finally available to all peaceful GTA players!
xBadSprtTee, a long standing and high ranking member of PCEO's defence team, has finally been released following his 4 month and 2 week punishment in the world of Bad Sport lobbies. The defence councillor had been warned about his aggressive PvP training conduct on numerous occasions, and it eventually came back to bite him when his ability to protect PCEO lobbies was severely interrupted as a result of the punishment. When PCEO news questioned the well respected councillor regarding the incidents leading to his punishment, xBadSprtTee had this to say: How do I put this. It's literally griefing. Went on a murderous rampage. Air Emu US Liquidated: Company-wide Glitch Refund Destroys Stock Value, Shareholders Sell Out4/16/2019 In a stunning turn of events over the last month or so, Air Emu’s US branch has entered liquidation. The trouble originated with a refund glitch that meant every single customer who had taken an Air Emu flight during a specific week was refunded. Mass hysteria ensued with millions of people taking advantage of the free airfare. As a result, many Air Emu flights had to be cancelled and tickets were not honoured for a period after the initial week. Air Emu did not release any statements acknowledging the issue and refused to comment when we reached out to them.
Many criticised Air Emu’s non-responsive nature and felt they should honour the tickets. Others remarked that those complaining about not getting their free flights were “lazy freeloaders and probably impotent.” Air Emu US’s stock values plummeted as a result of the company’s silence and financial losses. Speaking of which, the true nature of their losses is still under wraps. Some sources indicate that they only lost a paltry sum and that business was still booming. Other sources indicate that their losses could be in the hundreds-of-millions range. PCEO News has uncovered leaked documents dating back over 4 months (Roughly 10 Years in the GTA world) which highlight the ferocity of previous constitutional in-fighting between PCEO and it's parent (or parallel depending on viewpoint) organisation - Peaceful Gamers. Things have calmed down after the founder of both organisations reached a stalemate with the Peaceful Council - a council he'd previously created himself. The stalemate resulted in the founder's ejection from the council, having previously questioned it's legitimacy. He is said to be content existing outside of what he now describes as a 'bureaucratic hellscape', and has regained confidence in the council following the appointment of new leadership.
It's believed the following leaked documents are from a series of negotiations that took part in a neutral server at the time, though access to the full records are still proving elusive. Have your say on the direction and operation of PCEOMembers of PCEO (as well as the wider public) are finally being given the chance to voice their opinion on important matters regarding the direction of PCEO and it's top level leadership.
A new [PCEO] Democracy page has been set up with a collection of public polls to help inform & guide the direction of the community. The first round of polling has been set up to establish sentiment regarding:
The polls are understood to be non-binding, meaning they will not directly result in direct changes , but rather help improve understanding of the current mindset of members and the wider public. A recently filed class-action suit has divided opinion between fans of a classic model of vehicle. The Karin Jester, an iconic brand with a lasting legacy, has earned its fair share of reputation over the years but a recent lawsuit amid a brand relaunch threatens to taint said reputation.
